Agripower has diversified into associated fields of work creating a company capable of giving the customer an in-house service.

Lakes, ponds, wildlife areas, river works, erosion control and pollution control have all been successfully undertaken in conjunction with a sports project as a separate contract.

West Wycombe Estate
This project involved the dredging, extension and re-shaping of an existing lake. The water levels are controlled following the installation of two weirs. The surrounding banks and disturbed areas were then sown with a wild flower mix to minimise the impact on the environment.

Bulbourne Spur - Hemel Hempstead
The cleansing works on the Bulbourne Spur were carried out on behalf of the Boxmoor Trust. The aim of the project was to de-silt the existing river and increase the flow rate to prevent the weed infestation and recurring silt problems.

Agripower used a 20t long reach machine and LGP tracked dumpers to remove the silt to a depth of up to 1.8 metres in places. The site was then surveyed to calculate the grade of the existing river bed. A D4H LGP laser controlled dozer was then used to build up the river bed using in excess of 600 tons of rejects, giving an overall depth of 250mm of clear water. The main outfall of the spur and the banks to either side were then protected with the installation of a steel piled and timber fronted retaining wall.

Ditch Lining
Agripower was commissioned to design and construct a ditch lining syste for RAF Brize Norton. The aim of the project was to reduce maintenance and prevent on-going erosion problems. The work was carried out with the ditch in full flow, and required the ditch to be dammed and pumped in sections to enable works to proceed in the middle of winter. The project was completed on time and within budget.

Land clearance and creation of Wetlands - Henley
Our expertise in water engineering enables us to re-generate an area of neglected woodland on the outskirts of Henley. A series of existing ditches were cleaned and linked to create new flight ponds. The surrounding woodland was selectively cleared to admit more light and reduce the amount of leaf drop.
